M-Engineering Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS PDK Tuning

The 991.2 GT2 RS has an extremely capable PDK transmission from the factory, but the stock calibration still leaves room to make the gearbox react more quickly and more directly to driver input. M-Engineering's PDK calibration sharpens the way the transmission responds, reduces shift delay and revises clutch behavior to better suit aggressive street and track use.

This tune is flashed through the existing M-Tuner system and is designed to work alongside M-Engineering's GT2 RS ECU calibration as a complete engine and transmission package.

What the PDK tune changes

The focus is on reducing delay and making the transmission feel more immediate. M-Engineering recalibrates several areas of PDK operation, including paddle response, shift scheduling and clutch behavior.

Sharper manual-mode response

On track, one of the most noticeable improvements is the reduced delay between pulling the paddle and the transmission completing the shift. That makes the car feel more connected and allows the driver to place shifts more precisely during braking, corner entry and acceleration zones.

Revised automatic shift behavior

M-Engineering also revises both the normal and aggressive automatic shift schedules. The goal is to make the transmission respond more appropriately to performance driving instead of relying entirely on the factory calibration's broader street-use priorities.

Clutch control changes

The PDK calibration also changes how the clutches are managed. Continuous slip is disabled, while clutch engagement and filling times are reduced. These changes help tighten the connection between engine and transmission and make the gearbox feel more decisive under load.

M-Tuner ECU calibration required

This PDK tune is an upgrade for cars already equipped with M-Engineering's 991.2 GT2 RS M-Tuner ECU calibration. The existing M-Tuner OBD dongle is used to flash the PDK software, so a separate flashing system is not required.

Why pair ECU and PDK tuning

As power and torque increase, the transmission calibration becomes an increasingly important part of the overall package. Matching the ECU and PDK calibrations allows the drivetrain to work together rather than treating engine output and transmission behavior as separate systems.

For higher-power GT2 RS builds, especially cars with upgraded turbochargers, M-Engineering specifically requires PDK tuning as part of the package.

Installation

No PDK control unit removal is required. The calibration is flashed through the OBDII port using the M-Tuner dongle supplied with the required GT2 RS ECU tuning package.
